Our Staff

Garden Dance Inc. is a nonprofit organization with one ultimate purpose: to tell stories rooted in Biblical truth and bursting with the hope of Jesus. We will do this in two ways, first through our Dance Productions and secondly through our technique Classes.

Ruthie Voris

Executive Director

Ruthie is a believer in Jesus, wife to Nate, mom of four, and a passionate teacher and choreographer. Ruthie has trained, performed, taught and choreographed in everything from ballet and contemporary to tap and musical theater throughout her 20+ years’ experience. She cannot wait to help your student refine their technique and develop a deep love for storytelling through dance.

Ruthie is certified by Dance Educators of America to teach performing arts, having successfully completed the classical ballet exam.

Bekah Hebert

Administrator

Bekah is a believer in Jesus, wife to Nate (Hebert!), lifelong friend of Ruthie, and a lover of all things spreadsheets, organization, and processes. With degrees in Human Resources and Project Management, Bekah thrives on creating structure, learning new things, creating connections, and helping ideas become reality. She is excited to play a part in bringing Garden Dance to life and helping it grow to best serve you, your dancers and our community.

Kendall Nuñez

Lead Acro and Jazz Teacher, and Rehearsal Assistant

At the age of 3 Kendall began taking dance classes. She attended a studio in her hometown in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her training from ages 3-8 included ballet and tap. At age 6, she was invited into the studio dance company where she danced for 2 years. She has taken altogether 13 years of dance.
At the age of 11, Kendall moved to Crestview, Florida and joined a Theater and Acting company at Ballet and Barre Dance Studio. She originally planned to grow in her acting abilities and explore the performing arts world, but fell in love with dance again. Her training consisted of Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe and Acrobatics. She later joined the Ballet and Barre Dance Company in 2019 where she performed and co-instructed.
From ages 14-16, Kendall began teaching at Ballet and Barre Dance Studio. She assisted in Ballet and Contemporary, and she taught Acrobatics classes. While she enjoys all dancing styles, her true passion is for the art of Acrobatics and working with kids. She finds the most fulfillment in being a wife and a mother to her baby son, raising him to know Jesus.
 

Miss Felicity

Ballet and Contemporary Teacher, and Rehearsal Assistant

Felicity began her formal training at a secular studio at age eight. After years in the competitive dance world, she experienced pressures of perfectionism and struggles with body dysmorphia, which led her to step away from dance. During college, she married her best friend, Joshua, and in the comfort and stability of their marriage, she felt the Lord calling her back to dance. She returned to training through an intensive program called Enoch and joined Grace Ballet and Acrobatics, where she was invited to teach.
 
Since then, she has found deep passion in dancing, teaching, and choreography as an act of worship and ministry. Felicity remains passionate about teaching who Jesus is, keeping Christ at the center of all movement. She believes that when worship is the foundation, technique grows stronger. She is committed to creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel valued, free from comparison, and reminded that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
 
Her question for students is, “Who are you dancing for?” and her belief is simple: practice doesn’t make perfect, it makes progress. She is thrilled to get to work with the students at Garden Dance.

Myah Beck

Pre-Ballet and Early Ballet Teacher, and Rehearsal Assistant

Myah is devoted to Jesus, a wife to her high school sweetheart, Isaac, and someone who thrives in creativity.

She began her formal dance training as a teen under Miss Ruthie, quickly developing a deep love and appreciation for the tradition of ballet. To sustain her training while building a dance community out of state, she continued her education through private instruction with Miss Ruthie from afar.

Myah is also an accomplished, award-winning pianist, which enhances her teaching of musicality in dance. Known for her warmth and engaging demeanor, she is eager to connect with young dancers and foster both their technical and personal growth. 
 
Driven by a lifelong appreciation for artistry, storytelling, and beauty, Myah hopes to inspire her dancers to give it their all, and reap the reward in the growth that follows.

Morgan McIntire

Assistant Teacher

Morgan is an eager dancer, sister, daughter, and believer in the Lord. She was brought up in a Christian home and taught with love by her parents to fear the Lord. From tiny tutus to ballet shoes, Morgan has been dancing since she was three-years-old. For many years, she only saw dance for herself as a fun extra-curricular activity; however, Morgan truly found her joy, creativity, and passion in dancing through the teaching of Ruthie Voris. Morgan earnestly seeks to praise the Lord through dance while at Garden and hopes to pursue dance as a possible career.

 

Violet Bohannan

Assistant Teacher

Violet is a bright and joyful dancer with a heart for Jesus. She began dancing at 12 years old after dreaming of becoming a dancer since she was little, though she started later than most she felt a calling pursue her dreams. Violet was lovingly challenged and encouraged by her teacher and mentor Ruthie Voris who helped her grow not just as a dancer but as a woman of God, learning to dance for God’s glory. Violet’s favorite style is contemporary and she has a deep love for choreography and the beautiful stories that it can tell. Now, as a student dance teacher, Violet is excited to step into this new role and share her love for dance with Garden students. She hopes to inspire them to grow in both their technique and their confidence and to experience the joy of dancing for the Lord.

Lily Reimer

Assistant Teacher

Lily is a hardworking and passionate dancer who loves sharing her faith through the art of dance. She began ballet at the age of 6, but lost interest after a few years. Eventually she picked it back up with Ms. Ruthie as her teacher, and her love for dance was rekindled. As she grew older she started taking dance more seriously, and has grown in technique, while learning how to rightfully give the glory back to God. Lily is happy to be able to help others strengthen their skill, and hopes to inspire them to keep working hard at dance.

Annabelle Todd

Assistant Teacher

Annabelle is a passionate dancer who seeks to share her love for the Lord through the beautiful gift of dance. Her passion for dance started at the age of five and has flourished over the eleven years of her dancing experience. Through the teaching, guidance, and discipleship of Mrs. Ruthie, Annabelle has not only grown in her technique in dance but in her faith as a child of God. Annabelle seeks to share her passions for dance and her love for her Savior while teaching at Garden. She is delighted to help other young dancers grow in technique, storytelling, and faith, while always pointing them back to the One who gave them the gift of dance. Annabelle seeks to continue to dance for God with joy and passion at Garden and possibly pursue dance as a career later on. She has learned to deeply appreciate the stories dance can tell and hopes to inspire other dancers to shine Christ’s light while dancing for Him.

Our Class Schedule

Our schedule is posted, and we are excited to raise up dancers who are passionate for the Kingdom of God. Enroll your student as early as you can, because spots fill quickly!

Production Info

All dancers in Ballet A & B who take one hour or more of ballet each week (with Garden or elsewhere), commit to weekly rehearsals (Mondays) and come to auditions will receive a role in our dance productions.

All dancers in Ballet C, Ballet 1 & Ballet 2 who take one hour or more of ballet/week (with Garden or elsewhere) in addition to another class a week, commit to weekly rehearsals (most likely Thursdays, Mondays based on role and availability) and come to auditions will receive a role in our dance productions.

All dancers in Ballet 3 or higher who take two hours or more of ballet/week (with Garden or elsewhere) in addition to another class a week, commit to weekly rehearsals (Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays based on role and availability) and come to auditions will receive a role in our dance productions.

The only cost for dancers participating in Garden Dance’s productions is $225/show or $50/month for 5 months. No costume, registration or show fees. Cannot be combined with any other offer.

FAQ
Q. What if we’re out of town for auditions?
A. Reach out to Miss Ruthie at ruthievoris@gardendance.org to see if an exception might be made.

Q. Will we keep the costume from productions?
A. No, at Garden all costumes are owned by Garden. Still, Garden dancers may check out costumes to borrow.

Q. What if my dancer will miss more than 3 scheduled rehearsals?
A. If you know in advance that your dancer will miss more than 3 rehearsals due to unavoidable circumstances, reach out to Miss Ruthie as soon as possible to see if an exception might be made. If no special exceptions are granted and a student misses more than 3 scheduled rehearsals, they risk losing their role in the production.

Q. Will shows be repeated?
A. Yes, every Christmas Garden will put on “The Lightlings.” Every spring, Garden will put on one of its other four productions: “Abide,” “In its Time,” “Devoué” or our final piece yet to be announced The spring shows will circulate in order every four years.
